Detailed description of Lenoir Golf Course

Lenoir Golf Course, is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Lenoir, North Carolina.

Lenoir golf course was opened in 1928 as a nine hole course, redesigned by Donald Ross in 1945 and expanded to 18 holes in 1961.

The course has a combination of traditional Ross characteristics with the added benefit of views of the surrounding Blue Ridge mountains. The course is designed for walking although there are a few holes with stiff elevation changes.

The Lenoir Golf course plays to a par 71 and 6,450 yards from the back tees for a course rating is 71.3 and a slope rating of 125.

Blue: 6450 yards 71.3/125.

White: 5786 yards 68.5/117.

Red: 4839 yards 68.4/111.

I became a member of Lenoir Golf Club in April of this year and I love it...the course is fairly short and a lot of fun to play...The staff is awesome to deal with and just talk to....I enjoy going every time and the greens are fantastic this time of year

Nice muni course, good for building your ego.

Would travel: 20-30 Miles, Not Vacation Worthy
